About the role
This is a principal solutions architect role at phData, a remote-first data and AI consultancy, based in the USA. What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end solution design and delivery of AI/ML and data solutions for client accounts
- Translate business and data science requirements into scalable ML architectures
- Lead client workshops, discovery sessions and architecture reviews
- Ensure quality, reliability and observability of AI/ML solutions
- Contribute to reusable assets such as reference architectures and playbooks
- Mentor team members and partner with Sales on strategic engagements
What they’re looking for
- 10+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Engineer or Data Scientist
- Strong proficiency in Python or a similar language for production ML solutions
- Strong SQL skills for complex and distributed queries
- Hands-on experience with big data platforms such as Spark, Snowflake or Databricks
- Systems-level knowledge of cloud and network architecture
- End-to-end SDLC experience for data and ML solutions
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud and data ecosystem tools such as Azure or GCP
- Experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras or scikit-learn
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and MLOps tooling such as SageMaker or MLflow
- Background in consulting or professional services
- Contributions to technical communities or thought leadership
