About the role
This is a senior/principal-level solution architect role focused on data and AI, based in Hyderabad. It suits an experienced architect who can own end-to-end AI product architecture on Google Cloud and guide product teams on design decisions. The hiring company is an FMCG and cosmetics organization building out its tech and data capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Design and own end-to-end AI product architecture on GCP
- Guide product teams on solution architecture leveraging GCP, DBT, AI/ML and GenAI
- Lead and govern Git strategy, branching conventions and PR review processes
- Own technical documentation across all AI products
- Collaborate with data scientists and MLOps teams on production-ready ML pipelines
- Partner with data engineers as data architect on models, pipelines and storage
- Advise full stack developers on infrastructure and microservice design
- Review code for architecture compliance, performance and maintainability
- Drive DevOps/MLOps best practices and CI/CD adoption
What they’re looking for
- 8+ years in software engineering or architecture, with 3+ years as a technical lead or architect
- Strong expertise in GCP AI and data services (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Terraform)
- Solid data architecture experience designing scalable pipelines
- Hands-on software development experience in Python, Java or similar
- Deep knowledge of ML workflows, MLOps patterns and production deployment
- Experience managing Git workflows and PR review governance
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker/containers and automated testing
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification
Nice to have
- Experience mentoring engineers or architects
- Strong stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
