About the role
This is a 6-month onsite contract for a senior business analyst supporting healthcare and clinical systems for an Ontario government ministry. You'll gather and document business requirements, support systems built on rules engines and process automation, and work onsite in Toronto or Kingston. It suits an experienced business analyst with public-sector and healthcare-context experience.
What you’ll do
- Lead business analysis to assess business problems and document requirements
- Gather requirements through JAD sessions, interviews, and mockups
- Develop business models, use case models, and data flow models
- Apply business process transformation concepts to promote improvements
- Document requirements for business rule automation and workflow management
- Develop input to QA, system, and user acceptance testing plans
- Support stakeholder engagement in a healthcare or clinical context
- Monitor progress and report to business and I&IT management
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices
What they’re looking for
- Experience in business analysis for systems using a rules engine or process automation platform
- Experience developing business models, use case models, and data flow models
- Experience in projects using an agile development methodology
- Experience leading and conducting business analysis to assess client problems
- Experience documenting requirements for business rule automation
- Experience in a health or clinical context
- Experience supporting stakeholder engagement in healthcare
- Experience with privacy and security requirements in healthcare software
- Required: Ontario Public Service / public sector experience
Nice to have
- Experience in claim adjudication or pharmaceutical context
- Experience developing project or policy approval documents
- Experience with CASE tools
- Knowledge of Information Management principles
- Knowledge of AODA and related accessibility regulations
- Leadership experience leading teams or committees

- Contract rate of $96 per hour
