About the role
This is a senior, hybrid Business Analyst contract role in Toronto, working on a government I&IT initiative. It suits an experienced BA skilled in requirements elicitation, process mapping and agile delivery for a public-sector client. The contract runs for 283 days.
What you’ll do
- Lead workshops to elicit, document and confirm business requirements and business rules
- Break down complex business requirements into deliverables for development teams
- Create user stories and support UX, functional and technical designs
- Develop performance measures and conduct compliance assessments
- Document business analysis using tools such as DevOps, Visio and Figma
- Support UAT and validate requirements against system functionality
- Manage change scope, impact analysis, training and communication
- Develop context diagrams, use cases, process maps and systems diagrams
- Write business cases, cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies
- Oversee production support and configuration management
- Participate in RFP processes and evaluate vendor responses

- Experience developing process maps
- Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements
- Experience facilitating workshops for business requirements and process reengineering
Nice to have
- Experience with custom development in cloud native systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365
