About the role
This is a senior business analyst contract supporting modernization of a Grants and Contributions system for a public sector client, remote across Canada. It suits an experienced BA with a valid Reliability Clearance who can gather requirements and write detailed user stories in an Agile/SCRUM environment. The role works closely with development and UX teams to define and document the business processes driving the program.
What you’ll do
- Consult stakeholders individually and in group sessions to identify comprehensive business requirements
- Facilitate meetings such as brainstorming, backlog refinement and planning sessions with clients and development teams
- Write user stories with acceptance criteria to capture client and stakeholder needs
- Produce process flow, swim lane, context and status diagrams to illustrate required features
- Analyze current and future state of business processes to document 'as is' and 'to be' views
- Work on Agile SCRUM teams to support the Product Owner in populating and refining the Product Backlog

- Azure DevOps for backlog management in Agile
