About the role
This is a senior business analyst contract based in downtown Toronto, supporting a financial services client's Fractional Shares initiative. It suits an experienced analyst comfortable bridging business and technology teams on equities and bonds platforms. The work centers on requirements elicitation, API integration coordination, and testing support for a working group building out fractional share capability.
What you’ll do
- Elicit, document and validate business and functional requirements
- Facilitate requirements walkthrough sessions with business and technology stakeholders
- Collaborate with technology teams on solution design and API integration requirements
- Support delivery roadmaps, timelines and milestones
- Track and help resolve risks, issues and dependencies
- Produce and maintain user stories, process flows and requirement documents
- Act as liaison between business, technology and delivery teams
- Support and coordinate testing activities including UAT and QA
What they’re looking for
- 10+ years of business analysis experience in financial services
- Experience with system integrations and APIs
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements
- Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Nice to have
- Exposure to equities and bonds trading, brokerage or digital platforms
- Exposure to fractional share initiatives
- Hands-on experience supporting UAT and QA coordination
- Background in complex capital markets, bonds or equity trading projects
What’s on offer
- 12-month contract with possibility of extension or conversion to full-time depending on project demand and budget
- Hybrid arrangement, roughly 3 days per week in the downtown Toronto office
- Standard 37.5 hour work week, Monday to Friday
