About the role
This is a 24-month remote contract business analyst role in electronic records management, supporting the Bank of Canada in Ottawa. It suits an experienced records/information management professional who can define retention and governance requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The work is delivered through a staffing agency on behalf of the Bank of Canada.
What you’ll do
- Assess and document records retention, disposition and information management requirements.
- Analyze business processes and develop requirements for records lifecycle management, including retention, disposition and classification.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement and test lifecycle management controls and AI governance.
- Perform data mapping, analysis and integration between Microsoft Dynamics and other data sources.
- Deliver knowledge transfer, training and operational handover to business and support teams.
What they’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in library and information studies, information management, records management, archival studies or a related field.
- 5+ years of recent experience in information and records management, focused on electronic records.
- 3+ years of experience developing data maps, data dictionaries, metadata crosswalks and semantic models.
- 3+ years of experience conducting business analysis and collaborating with development teams.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint and enterprise Microsoft technologies.
