This is a senior business systems analyst role in McKesson Canada's retail technology team, working hybrid from Montréal, leading complex business analysis initiatives. It suits an experienced Agile business analyst who partners with product owners and delivery teams to translate business needs into requirements and drive digital transformation. McKesson is a large healthcare-focused company operating across retail, pharmacy and technology.
What you’ll do
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops and discovery sessions for complex initiatives.
- Manage requirement complexity and scope with business product owners.
- Partner with product, engineering and QA throughout the SDLC.
- Maintain business and functional requirements documents in Confluence.
- Maintain a feature map and a prioritized product backlog for Program Increment planning.
- Document current- and future-state process flows, personas and use cases using tools like Miro.
- Analyze business processes and recommend scalable technology solutions.
- Use SQL and Power BI to validate business logic and support decisions.
- Structure Jira by feature epics and write user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Use AI tools to support user story creation and prototype visualization.
- Collaborate with SaaS vendors and architects on system integrations.
What they’re looking for
- 6+ years of experience as a business analyst in an Agile, technology-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience gathering, documenting and managing business and functional requirements.
- Proven ability to write BRDs, FRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional requirements work.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in retail technology, pharmacy, SaaS platforms or digital transformation programs.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI platforms.
- Bilingual French/English communication skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise integrations, cloud platforms and APIs.
