About the role
This is an onsite/hybrid business analyst contract role supporting a drug agreements and rebates IT system for a provincial government ministry in Ontario. It suits an experienced business analyst with agile delivery experience who can gather requirements and bridge business and technology teams. The role requires working five days onsite in Toronto or Kingston, Ontario, and is only open to candidates currently residing in Ontario.
What you’ll do
- Elicit and document business requirements through interviews, JAD sessions and mockups.
- Bridge business stakeholders and technology teams to determine I&IT solutions.
- Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, and conceptual/logical data modeling.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies.
- Monitor project progress, resolve problems and report to management and stakeholders.
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation.
What they’re looking for
- Must be able to work five days onsite per week in Toronto or Kingston.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis supporting systems development using a rules engine or business process automation platform.
- Experience developing business models, use case models, and data/process flow models.
- Demonstrated experience in projects using an agile development methodology.
- Demonstrated experience leading and conducting business analysis to assess business problems and document requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with information retrieval packages.
- Knowledge of Information Management principles and practices.
- Experience with structured, object-oriented and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
