About the role
This is a senior SOX and internal-controls role for a professional with at least 8 years of SOX experience, based in Bellevue, Washington. You’ll lead business-process controls within the company’s financial-reporting control environment and work with Finance, Operations, IT and Legal stakeholders. The position reports to the Senior Director of SOX and includes risk assessment, testing, remediation and Audit Committee reporting.
What you’ll do
- Develop and run the SOX programme for business-process controls.
- Work with process owners to design, implement and maintain effective controls.
- Advise teams on process improvements and automation.
- Coordinate co-sourced providers and SOX programme delivery.
- Help stakeholders manage control changes.
- Lead annual risk assessment, control scoping and testing strategy.
- Drive remediation for control deficiencies.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
What they’re looking for
- At least 8 years of SOX-compliance experience.
- Experience in Big Four and in-house internal-audit or SOX leadership settings is preferred in the posting.
- Knowledge of COSO, PCAOB standards and US GAAP.
- Strong project-management skills and cross-functional accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
Nice to have
- CPA, CIA or CISA certification.
- Experience in a pre-IPO or newly public high-growth technology company.
- Experience using Workiva.

- Base salary of $135,000–$198,000 per year.
