Senior Manager, Joint Venture & VIE

About the role

This is a senior accounting leadership role based in New York, Sunnyvale, or Dallas, responsible for CoreWeave's joint-venture and variable-interest-entity accounting. You will own reporting, consolidation conclusions, controls, partner accounting, and technical accounting for a growing infrastructure portfolio. The role suits a CPA with at least seven years of progressive accounting experience and deep ASC 810 and ASC 323 expertise.

What you’ll do

  • Own monthly close, financial statements, and partner reporting for joint ventures.
  • Manage distributions, capital calls, waterfalls, and intercompany accounting.
  • Lead VIE identification, primary-beneficiary analysis, reassessments, and consolidation decisions.
  • Prepare technical accounting memoranda for audit support.
  • Apply equity-method accounting and calculate earnings pickups for non-consolidated entities.
  • Work with Legal and deal teams on transaction structures and accounting consequences.
  • Build SOX-compliant processes, close calendars, templates, and reporting packages.
  • Improve ERP and systems support for JV accounting.
  • Evaluate AI tools for close automation, document review, research, and commentary.
  • Manage one or two Senior Accountants and partner with finance functions.

What they’re looking for

  • At least seven years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Depth in joint-venture, partnership, or structured-finance accounting.
  • Public-accounting experience plus industry experience building or operating an accounting function.
  • Advanced knowledge of ASC 810 and ASC 323.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and defending VIE assessments and technical accounting memos.
  • Experience as an operator-side or managing-member accountant is preferred.
  • Ability to build controls and processes in a scaling environment.
  • Strong communication with accounting and non-accounting partners.
  • CPA certification is required.

Nice to have

  • Infrastructure, real estate, data-center, or capital-intensive industry experience.
  • SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite experience in a multi-entity environment.
  • Experience applying AI to accounting workflows.
