About the role
This is a senior applied machine-learning engineering role on CoreWeave's CRAFT team in Bellevue or Sunnyvale, United States. What you’ll do
- Investigate research ideas for continuous learning in production agents.
- Validate new approaches against real customer tasks with the CRAFT team.
- Train and evaluate LLMs for specific tasks.
- Build and deploy machine-learning models in production.
- Work across the stack from GPU and CUDA-related systems to tracing and evaluation tools.
- Contribute to distributed training and large-scale model systems.
- Help shape the team's autonomous roadmap and technical direction.

- At least 4 years of machine-learning experience, or a PhD with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch or JAX.
- Understanding of supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and on-policy distillation for LLMs.
- Experience developing, evaluating, and deploying production machine-learning models.
- Strong research and problem-solving ability.
- A bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, machine learning, robotics, or a related field.

- Publications, open-source contributions, or research impact in LLM post-training or agent learning.
- Distributed training, GPU acceleration, and large-scale model training experience.
- Experience leading technically complex projects or mentoring engineers.
