About the role
This is a revenue-accounting manager role for a professional with at least 6 years of progressive accounting experience, based in Sunnyvale, California. You'll lead revenue and commissions close activities, improve revenue systems and controls, and explain results to Accounting and FP&A leaders. The role requires strong knowledge of ASC 606, NetSuite ARM and complex B2B technology contracts.
What you’ll do
- Lead the month-end close for revenue and commissions.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, analyses and variance explanations.
- Present revenue and commissions information to senior leaders.
- Partner with Technical Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Operations, Product, Engineering and General Ledger Accounting.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Act as a commercial-accounting subject-matter expert on projects and system implementations.
- Improve the NetSuite ARM setup for automation, reporting and efficiency.
- Develop other members of the Revenue Accounting team.
- Support revenue forecasting with FP&A.
- Design, implement and perform SOX controls.
- Assess new products and upstream process changes for revenue-accounting impact.

- At least 4 years in revenue-accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606.
- Experience with NetSuite ARM and revenue-process improvements.
- Experience with accounting-system enhancement projects.
- Experience with negotiated B2B technology contracts exceeding USD 1 million.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
