About the role
This is a corporate-development accounting manager role for a valuation and transaction-accounting professional with 4–7 years of experience, based in New York or Sunnyvale. You'll lead valuation work for acquisitions and strategic investments while supporting fair-value, impairment, reporting and audit requirements. The role also serves as an internal resource for adopting AI productivity tools in accounting and finance.
What you’ll do
- Manage purchase-price allocations under ASC 805 with third-party valuation specialists.
- Review fair-value measurements for intangible assets, contingent consideration and acquired assets and liabilities.
- Lead impairment analysis for goodwill, intangible assets and strategic investments.
- Build and maintain DCF, MPEEM, relief-from-royalty, with-and-without and option-pricing models.
- Prepare audit-ready valuation work papers and SOX documentation.
- Reconcile goodwill, intangible-asset and investment balances to NetSuite.
- Coordinate disclosures for 10-Q and 10-K reporting.
- Prepare internal materials on transactions, investment performance and impairment results.
- Perform review controls over valuation balances and supporting inputs.
- Help colleagues use AI tools such as Claude for Excel and other emerging applications.
- Develop AI templates, use cases and workflow improvements for finance teams.
What they’re looking for
- 4–7 years across Big 4 valuation or transaction advisory and/or in-house corporate development, M&A accounting or FP&A.
- Significant experience with purchase-price allocations, intangible-asset valuation, impairment testing and fair value.
- Strong Excel modeling skills, including DCF, MPEEM, relief-from-royalty, with-and-without and option-pricing models.
- Working knowledge of ASC 805, ASC 820, ASC 350 and ASC 360.
- Ability to work with ASC 810, ASC 323 and ASC 321 is useful.
- Strong communication, self-review, project-management and stakeholder skills.
- Ability to produce technical accounting memos, valuation reports and senior-level presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
Nice to have
- CPA, ASA, CFA or ABV certification, or progress toward one.
- Big 4 valuation or transaction-advisory background combined with in-house experience.
- Experience helping non-technical users adopt and troubleshoot AI applications.

- Base salary is USD 115,000–153,000 per year.
