Engineering Manager, Developer Experience

About the role

This is an engineering management role in New York, NY leading a team responsible for CoreWeave's build, test, and deployment platform. You'll combine people leadership with technical direction across CI systems, build automation, artifact management, release workflows, and developer experience.

What you’ll do

  • Set technical direction for CI, build, and artifact-management systems.
  • Modernize development workflows and help internal teams adopt platform capabilities.
  • Maintain reliability, performance, security, and availability standards.
  • Turn platform strategy into an actionable team roadmap.
  • Track measures such as CI reliability, build duration, and artifact latency.
  • Manage delivery, technical-debt decisions, and execution blockers.
  • Coach engineers through one-to-ones, mentorship, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Represent technical tradeoffs with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.

What they’re looking for

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing engineers.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience building or operating CI, build, release, or artifact platforms at scale.
  • Knowledge of SDLC practices, code review, branching, and release strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, containers, and modern CI tooling.
  • Experience managing and developing engineers.
  • Ability to define and improve reliability, velocity, and quality metrics.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
  • Familiarity with DORA metrics.
  • Exposure to software supply-chain security and compliance.
  • Experience managing distributed engineering teams.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Bazel, Terraform, or similar tools.
