About the role
This is an engineering-management role in New York leading the backend and data systems that support CoreWeave's billing platform. You'll manage engineers responsible for metering, consumption models, rating, reconciliation, auditability and the data foundations behind new cloud-product launches. What you’ll do
- Lead the team responsible for billing pipelines and consumption models.
- Own data-store design, metering and the path from usage records to billable events.
- Maintain utilization integrity through reconciliation, audit and close processes.
- Define data contracts with the billing-product team.
- Partner with Finance and Compliance on controls and change management.
- Lead platform work for new meters, consumption models and SKUs.
- Set SLAs and SLOs for data completeness, accuracy and freshness.
- Coordinate roadmap delivery across billing platform and billing product.
- Hire, mentor and develop engineers.
- Participate in on-call and incident response for billing operations.
What they’re looking for
- At least six years of professional software-engineering experience.
- One to three years of engineering-management experience with people leadership.
- Experience leading production data, revenue, billing, payments, financial-reporting or similar backend systems at scale.
- Knowledge of ingestion, stream and batch processing, schema evolution, exactly-once processing and replays.
- Understanding of multi-tenant data models, contracts, entitlements and usage attribution.
- Experience designing APIs and data contracts.
- Strong knowledge of correctness, idempotency and auditability.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience building or operating cloud or SaaS metering and billing platforms.
- Experience with usage ingestion, rating, invoicing or reconciliation.
