What you’ll do
- Act as the senior company contact for utilities, cooperatives, municipal utilities, and grid operators.
- Build relationships with utility leadership, planning teams, and large-load groups.
- Lead conversations about power availability, growth forecasts, and infrastructure requirements.
- Structure and negotiate utility service, special contracts, tariffs, and other power arrangements.
- Guide phased delivery and interim solutions for large, rapidly changing loads.
- Develop approaches to infrastructure cost sharing, upgrades, and schedules.
- Direct strategy for transmission and distribution studies, upgrades, and approvals.
- Identify utility-process bottlenecks and create escalation paths for high-risk markets.
- Evaluate power feasibility and risk with real-estate, data-center, and engineering teams.
- Coordinate utility regulatory matters with legal and public-policy teams.
- Track changes in utility and regulatory treatment of hyperscale and AI loads.

- Deep knowledge of utility operations, transmission, distribution, and large-load interconnections.
- A record of building senior utility relationships.
- Experience negotiating complex infrastructure agreements.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and execute in a fast-growth environment.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting data centers, hyperscalers, or other energy-intensive infrastructure.
- Familiarity with U.S. ISO and RTO markets.
- Experience across investor-owned, cooperative, and municipal utilities.
- Knowledge of U.S. utility regulatory structures.

- The base salary range is $180,000 to $264,000 per year.
