About the role
This is a hands-on data-center operations role for a technician who can diagnose and repair computer hardware and networks at CoreWeave’s Sandusky, Ohio site. You’ll maintain infrastructure availability, install and repair equipment, document issues and support a rotating on-call operation. The job is fully onsite and may require travel to other data-center locations.
What you’ll do
- Maintain data-center operations and service availability.
- Diagnose and repair hardware and network problems.
- Investigate hardware and software failures to identify root causes.
- Train internal teams and create technical documentation.
- Write scripts for server and network-hardware updates.
- Track inventory and install equipment.
- Maintain testing and tool equipment.
- Respond to equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes during scheduled on-call periods.
- Travel to other data centers when business needs require it.

- Computer-hardware troubleshooting and assembly experience.
- Linux operating-system experience.
- Ability to lift and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in cramped or elevated areas and handle small components and cables.
- Availability for flexible scheduling in a 24/7 environment and rotating on-call work.
- Strong organisation, communication, prioritisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in data-center temperatures ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
Nice to have
- Data-center experience.
- Computer-networking experience.
- Python, Bash or another scripting language.
- Cisco IOS or Juniper JunOS experience.
- An associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
