Data Center Security Engineer - WIDS

About the role

This is an onsite data-center security engineering role based in Livingston, New Jersey, focused on deploying and integrating wireless intrusion detection systems. You'll own RF monitoring, wireless threat detection, sensor coverage, and security-platform integrations across CoreWeave's global data-center and physical-security network.

What you’ll do

  • Deploy and maintain the Bastille Networks WIDS platform and sensor arrays.
  • Integrate wireless-detection telemetry with Genetec Security Center.
  • Configure RF monitoring to detect rogue access points, cell towers, unauthorized devices, Bluetooth, IoT, and other wireless threats.
  • Conduct RF site surveys and plan sensor placement and coverage.
  • Harden sensors, concentrators, and supporting Windows or cloud infrastructure.
  • Create coverage maps, architecture diagrams, troubleshooting guides, and other technical documentation.
  • Establish alerting, escalation, change-management, and audit processes.
  • Investigate false positives, coverage gaps, and detection failures.
  • Correlate wireless detections with network security, SOC, XDR, CAASM, Zero Trust, and threat-intelligence systems.

What they’re looking for

  • At least five years of experience in physical security engineering, network engineering, wireless or RF security, or related infrastructure work.
  • Hands-on WIDS and RF spectrum-monitoring experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Genetec Security Center, including Directory, Archiver, Synergis, alarms, event-to-action, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of 802.11 standards, Bluetooth, Zigbee, cellular protocols, RF fundamentals, and wireless attack techniques.
  • Experience with Windows Server, networking, VLANs, TCP/IP, and SQL databases.
  • Experience integrating third-party systems and deploying solutions with external vendors.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, documentation, independence, and follow-through.

Nice to have

  • Direct Bastille Networks platform and sensor-array experience.
  • Certifications such as GSEC, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CWNA, CWSP, CISSP, or relevant manufacturer certifications.
  • Experience deploying WIDS in enterprise or AI/data-center environments.
  • Experience integrating Bastille with Axis, Splunk, Cisco, Lenel, PSIM, SIEM, or Genetec systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 controls.

  • Base salary of USD 122,000 to USD 179,000 per year.
