About the role
This is a director-level role at Bank of Montreal building and leading an AI and Innovation Solutions practice. What you’ll do
- Set the AI and innovation strategy and roadmap for the group.
- Run opportunity intake, discovery and business-case development for AI ideas.
- Build proof-of-concepts and pilots and decide which move into production.
- Establish AI governance, risk and compliance standards with Legal, Privacy and Security partners.
- Own the AI and innovation portfolio, including roadmaps and executive reporting.
- Lead change management and adoption programs for new AI tools.
- Run the Power Platform practice, covering intake, governance and delivery standards.
- Manage relationships with AI vendors and technology partners.
- Mentor team members on AI, automation and Power Platform skills.

- University degree in business, IT, computer science, engineering, data science or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in technology, consulting, innovation or digital transformation.
- Experience leading enterprise initiatives spanning business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI, generative AI, agentic AI or intelligent automation.
- Experience building prototypes, proof-of-concepts or innovation incubation programs.
- Experience working with AI agents, Copilot tools or workflow automation.
- Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, Risk and similar functions.
Nice to have
- Advanced certifications in AI, Microsoft Power Platform, change management, project management or innovation management.
