About the role
This full-time remote California role is for a clinical technology professional who can design and deliver systems supporting clinical studies. You’ll translate protocol needs into clinical system designs, coordinate dependencies, and help keep study technology on schedule and compliant. The position sits within AbbVie’s Data and Statistical Sciences organization.
What you’ll do
- Reflect study protocol requirements in clinical system designs.
- Apply common clinical data standards to system work.
- Deliver new clinical systems, integrations, and system changes on schedule.
- Track study progress and address timeline or quality risks.
- Coordinate work across Data and Statistical Sciences and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain compliance with regulations, GCP, ICH guidance, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Coach and mentor Data Science Associates.
- Contribute to process-improvement and innovation work.

- A bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or an equivalent field.
- At least three years of clinical technology experience, such as EDC, IRT, or ePRO, or at least five years in a related technical or clinical-development role.
- Understanding of clinical trial processes.
- Knowledge of CDASH and SDTM.
- Ability to influence colleagues without direct reporting authority.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
Nice to have
- A master’s degree.
- Experience with common industry design and development tools.
