About the role
This is a contract business analyst role supporting a healthcare/clinical-trial software client, remote from the United States. It suits a senior business analyst with product or professional-services experience who can bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. The work is delivered through 3Pillar, a software product development and AI transformation company, on behalf of a client platform in clinical research.
What you’ll do
- Communicate project status, requirements clarity and delivery recommendations to stakeholders.
- Elicit and document business requirements from product owners and stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specs in Jira/Confluence.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning and stakeholder review sessions.
- Conduct gap analyses and workflow mapping on the client's platform.
- Support UAT planning, test scripts and stakeholder sign-off.
- Produce BRDs, process flows, data dictionaries and use case diagrams.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
What they’re looking for
- 3+ years of business analysis experience in a software product or professional-services environment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Experience in clinical trials, healthcare IT or regulated software (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).
- CBAP or equivalent business analysis certification.
- Familiarity with API concepts and technical specifications.
- Experience in a multi-vendor delivery model.
