About the role
This senior director role provides strategic leadership for enterprise architecture, technology governance, and modernization across an organization's technology portfolio. You'll establish architecture standards, guide enterprise transformation initiatives, oversee architect teams, and align technology investments with business priorities at VSP Vision, with hybrid and remote work options available.
What you’ll do
- Develop and evolve enterprise architecture strategy, principles, standards, and governance practices
- Provide guidance and recommendations aligning technology decisions with business objectives and risk tolerance
- Establish and maintain architecture governance processes for consistent, scalable technology decision-making
- Partner with executive and technology leaders to evaluate priorities and support enterprise transformation
- Facilitate collaboration across architecture, engineering, security, data, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams
- Assess enterprise technology roadmaps and identify opportunities to improve business value and reduce risk
- Develop architecture talent and foster high-performing teams and communities of practice
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic technology planning
- Communicate architecture vision and recommendations to executive leadership
What they’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in a related functional area
- Minimum of 6 years of management experience with hiring, training, and performance management responsibilities
- In-depth technology knowledge and ability to define enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and reference architectures
- Ability to aggregate business-unit technology plans and identify alignment gaps
- Working knowledge across integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, AI, security, and custom application architecture
- Ability to balance enterprise guardrails with delivery speed and business priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent business and leadership skills with ability to lead at the enterprise level

- Experience with metrics and continuous improvement methodologies

- Salary: $126,000 to $191,625 per year
