About the role
This is a senior AI/ML engineering leadership role at Citi in Mississauga, Ontario, at the Senior Vice President technical level. What you’ll do
- Manage multiple teams of professionals, including performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions
- Provide strategic influence and control over resources, budget management and planning
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
- Integrate applications development knowledge with the overall technology function
- Provide evaluative judgement in complicated, unique and dynamic situations
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions
- Assess risk in business decisions and drive compliance with laws, rules and regulations
What they’re looking for
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Java experience
- Proven industry experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain and Hugging Face
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs such as GPT, Llama or Claude
- Solid understanding of NLP concepts, techniques and evaluation metrics
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerizing applications
- Practical experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and cluster management
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Document digitization technologies (OCR - Tesseract, Abbyy, Kofax, Google Vision) combined with AI/ML
- Experience migrating legacy applications to microservices/micro-frontend architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure and their AI/ML services
- A master's degree
