About the role
This is a six-month contract role leading technical design and development for a Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation, fully remote and based in Canada. You'll own the technical architecture and development of ClaimCenter functionalities using Gosu and Spring Batch while managing production support and incident response. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development and stakeholder coordination in an Agile environment.
What you’ll do
- Participate in business and functional requirements gathering, analyzing existing systems and understanding evolving needs
- Create and review technical specification documents for Guidewire ClaimCenter functionalities
- Develop code components in Gosu language, implement new features and batch jobs in ClaimCenter
- Conduct peer code reviews during development and testing phases
- Drive Agile scrum processes and organize knowledge transfer sessions with production support teams
- Define testing strategies for GUnit implementation and support QA testing efforts
- Manage incident and problem resolution in the production support role, tracking issues by priority
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders and publish regular status reports
- Participate in deployment activities, including deliverable reviews and mock testing
