This is a staff-level data engineering and tech lead role on the Distribution Center Solutions team at Afresh, a grocery AI platform, open to remote candidates in Ontario, Canada. You'll design ETL pipelines that process large volumes of customer data and set the technical direction for how that data is architected. What you’ll do
- Design, build and optimize ETLs using PySpark and dbt to process large-scale customer datasets
- Build tools and frameworks that make customer data integrations faster and more scalable
- Define the technical vision for distribution center data architecture
- Mentor engineers and manage external contractors
- Partner with product, engineering and applied science teams to scope and deliver data solutions

- Proficiency with Python, PySpark and SQL

- 2+ years in a technical lead role such as Tech Lead or Engineering Manager

- Experience working with complex, unclean datasets
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
