About the role
This is an onsite senior business systems analyst role at TD Bank in Toronto, working on the core platform behind Canadian Banking's debit card and payments systems. It suits an experienced BSA with a mainframe background who can translate between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The role sits within an Agile pod delivering features for the AOS applications team.
What you’ll do
- Translate business needs into technical concepts and vice versa for stakeholders.
- Plan and lead delivery of system requirements aligned with standards and frameworks.
- Elicit, analyze, document and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
- Write JIRA user stories using Behavior-Driven Development methodology.
- Own traceability of requirements through design, development, testing and deployment.
- Support testing teams in translating requirements into test conditions.
- Support business case development including RFI/RFPs and vendor SLAs.
- Mentor and coach team members within area of expertise.

- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
- 6-8 years of experience as a BSA or similar Business/Systems Analyst role.
- Advanced knowledge of Mainframe capabilities and best practices, hands-on preferred.
- Experience with API requirements and request/response mapping.
- Proficiency writing user stories with acceptance criteria in JIRA using Gherkin.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to lead stakeholders to consensus on requirements.
- Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills.
