About the role
This is a senior data science and analytics engineering role at TD, based in Toronto, Ontario, supporting a bank-wide analytics and AI team. It suits an experienced analytics professional who can move from business problem framing through to building and deploying AI/ML models. You'll lead performance diagnostics, build scalable analytics assets, and partner with business leaders to drive AI/ML adoption.
What you’ll do
- Lead performance diagnostics across customer, product and advisor dimensions
- Translate curated data into insights through hypothesis testing and storytelling
- Design and deliver datasets, dashboards, segmentation frameworks and predictive models
- Investigate and implement AI/ML tools and algorithms for business problems
- Develop visualizations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
- Partner with business owners to drive analytics and AI/ML adoption
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with data scientists and engineers
- Mentor others on advanced analytics and AI/ML methodologies
What they’re looking for
- A degree in a quantitative or analytics-focused discipline
- 7 years of relevant experience in advanced analytics, data science or applied AI/ML
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, Power BI and Databricks
- Experience with PySpark for big data processing and PyTorch for model serving
- Cloud experience with Azure or AWS and services such as Databricks or Kubernetes
- Strong business acumen and executive communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in customer analytics within financial services
- Expertise optimizing data pipelines, models and dashboards for business impact
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French
