This is a senior Power BI developer / data engineer contract supporting Capital Measurement Reporting and data modernization for a bank's Risk, Finance and Regulatory Reporting teams in Toronto. It suits someone with strong Power BI and SQL/ETL experience in banking or financial services who can build dashboards and reporting pipelines. The program covers regulatory and risk reporting within a highly dynamic, evolving enterprise data environment.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports covering capital, risk and finance metrics
- Run ETL pipelines and support data transformation using SQL and M code
- Develop DAX measures for calculations, aggregations, trends and comparisons
- Work with data partners and Data Engineering teams on reconciled data feeds
- Develop reporting visualizations for executive and regulatory storytelling
- Manage documentation supporting audit, validation and reporting reviews
- Use Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows and validation processes

- 5+ years of advanced Power BI development within Banking or Financial Services
- Advanced DAX, Power Query and M code for reporting and data transformation
- Advanced SQL and ETL pipeline development for enterprise reporting environments
- Experience with Capital Measurement Reporting, Risk or Regulatory Reporting analytics initiatives
- Post-secondary education in data analytics or a related field
