About the role
This is a full-time remote US leadership role overseeing people systems and organizational effectiveness for Seeking.com, STNDRDS, and Standards.com. It is for a builder-minded People leader who can design the organization, hire and develop leaders, and improve individual and team performance as the company scales. The role reports to the co-CEOs and supports a combined US organization of roughly 50 to 60 employees that expects to grow beyond 100. The organization operates a premium dating platform, a consumer media brand, and an independent news publication.
What you’ll do
- Assess organizational structure, leadership design, accountability, and operational gaps.
- Own recruiting strategy, leadership hiring, succession planning, retention, and responses to persistent underperformance.
- Create training and coaching programs that improve focus, decision-making, communication, feedback, and problem-solving.
- Design compensation and incentive approaches tied to company values and performance.
- Establish communication norms for meetings, feedback, information flow, and presentations.
- Build lightweight performance and management systems focused on timely feedback and growth.
- Partner with Program Management on how plans and priorities translate into team execution.
- Coach the co-CEOs on operating practices when needed.
What they’re looking for
- Eight or more years of progressive People or HR leadership experience.
- At least three years at director or head-of-people level.
- Experience redesigning organizational structures in response to strategy.
- Evidence of building and measuring training or coaching programs.
- Experience creating People systems in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Experience supporting a distributed workforce.
- Practical use of AI in People work.
Nice to have
- Background in organizational psychology, industrial-organizational psychology, or behavioral science.
