About the role
Prime is recruiting a People and Culture Advisor for an interim HR role based from its Knutsford office on a hybrid arrangement. It suits an experienced HR generalist who can independently manage substantial employee-relations casework under UK employment law, with the possibility of a permanent role after an initial three-month period. The advisor will also improve onboarding, policies, people processes, payroll hand-offs, and employee-lifecycle operations.
What you’ll do
- Manage employee-relations cases from assessment through resolution
- Lead or support investigations and prepare balanced reports
- Coach managers through performance, conduct, grievance, absence, and flexible-working matters
- Identify and escalate legal, employee-relations, and reputational risks
- Coordinate effective onboarding and induction with managers and internal teams
- Review policies, templates, and manager guidance for legal and operational suitability
- Support performance management, statutory requests, payroll changes, and offboarding
- Create practical process documentation and workflow improvements
What they’re looking for
- Three to five years in an HR Advisor or comparable generalist position
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance, and fair process
- Experience managing the employee lifecycle and high-volume ER work
- Ability to produce defensible investigation and outcome documentation
- Strong investigation, analysis, questioning, and writing skills
- MS365 proficiency
- High confidentiality, organisation, judgement, and attention to detail
Nice to have
- CIPD Level 5 or higher, or equivalent professional experience
- Agency-environment experience
- International or US employment experience
- Familiarity with HiBob
