This is a business analyst contract supporting Ontario Health's ePrescribing initiative, based in Toronto. What you’ll do

  • Contribute to the medication program's integrated project plan.
  • Define requirements for medication workflows, engaging stakeholders to gather and validate needs.
  • Support prioritization of medication-related requirements.
  • Contribute to project status reporting and develop process documentation.
  • Participate in working groups tied to medication-related projects.
  • Support the technical design of the ePrescribing solution.

  • 5-7 years as a business analyst on electronic health-related projects.
  • 5-8 years defining and implementing health system business requirements.
  • 4-5 years with healthcare information systems and data workflows.
  • 4-5 years with medication or pharmacy workflows and related processes in hospitals, admissions or health records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and resolve conflict across teams.
  • Experience managing projects or programs in matrix organizations.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Toronto three days a week.

Nice to have

  • Undergraduate degree in health, computer science, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of medication workflows.
  • Experience with health system implementation and deployment projects.
  • Customer-facing experience handling queries and risk/issue management.
  • Experience working across politically complex, multi-culture organizations.
  • Familiarity with HPPA, FIPPA and PHIPA privacy legislation.
  • Experience with provincial support models and requirements gathering.
