About the role
This is a contract senior business analyst role in Toronto for Ontario Health, working hybrid on a Portfolio Management process improvement initiative. The person hired will build and roll out MS365-based tools for resource capacity management, project governance, and work intake across the organization. The engagement runs from October 2026 through October 2027.
What you’ll do
- Interact with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
- Advise on business analysis policies, processes, and standards
- Build, test, and support roll-out and training for MS365 applications and tools
- Develop process documentation including workflows and swim lane diagrams
- Develop metrics and create executive-level Power BI dashboards
- Conduct business, use case, conceptual, and process/data flow modeling
- Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report to management and stakeholders
- Develop performance measures, traceability matrices, and KPIs
- Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses
- Conduct stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering
What they’re looking for
- Experience working in Portfolio Management including resource management, prioritization, and new work intake
- Experience with executive-level reporting activities such as executive dashboards
- Technical experience building and rolling out solutions to a large number of staff
- Expert knowledge of MS365 tools including PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel
- Communication and change management skills across different employee groups
Nice to have
- Ability to translate business and data requirements into technical specifications
- Experience with business functional, event, and process modeling
- Experience with structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies
- Experience using Copilot and other AI tools for process improvement
- Experience developing performance measures for business analysis evaluation
