About the role
This is a 12-month onsite contract for a senior technology architect supporting Ontario's Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. It suits an experienced architect who can lead enterprise technology strategy, business cases and roadmaps for large public-sector IT environments. The role is based across several Ontario locations including Toronto, Hamilton, Oshawa and Guelph, and this posting has expired.
What you’ll do
- Conduct current-state assessments of enterprise cloud and on-premises products and services.
- Lead strategic options analyses including stakeholder engagement and jurisdictional scans.
- Support development of enterprise digital strategies, roadmaps and implementation plans.
- Lead development of business cases, investment analyses and executive decision-support materials.
- Facilitate workshops with business, technical and executive stakeholders.
- Present strategic recommendations and roadmaps to governance bodies and senior leadership.
- Develop reports, presentations and strategic planning artefacts.
- Evaluate strategic options to support executive decision-making for complex IT environments.
What they’re looking for
- 5+ years as a Technical Architect with enterprise strategy development expertise.
- 5+ years conducting strategic options analyses including cost-benefit and investment assessments.
- Experience developing enterprise digital strategies, roadmaps and business cases for large IT environments.
- Experience with strategy and architecture design for hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to executive audiences, including briefing materials.
Nice to have
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and influencing enterprise technology decisions.
- Experience within Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader public sector environments.
