About the role
This is a founding CTO and technical leadership role for building Ihsan’s messenger and self-custodial stablecoin payment platform remotely. You’ll own architecture, security and engineering execution across messaging, wallets, payments and the wider product while working directly with the founders. The role suits a hands-on technical leader with at least eight years of experience in distributed systems, secure consumer platforms and financial or digital-asset infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Own the platform’s technical architecture.
- Design and review the Ihsan Pay architecture.
- Lead and supervise the engineering team.
- Assess wallet, identity, blockchain, on-ramp and card infrastructure providers.
- Define wallet signing, recovery and key-export designs.
- Set engineering, security, testing and documentation standards.
- Review backend, mobile and blockchain code.
- Design systems that can grow from MVP to millions of users.
- Create reconciliation, incident and provider-failure procedures.
- Recruit and mentor engineers.
- Manage infrastructure, deployment, observability and disaster recovery.
- Coordinate security audits and penetration testing.
