About the role
This is a mid-level GenAI application development role for building production assistants, RAG pipelines, and agentic applications for Fujitsu in Pune. You'll work across prompt workflows, Python services, integrations, testing, deployment, and production support in a hybrid delivery model.
What you’ll do
- Build GenAI features such as chatbots, semantic search, summarization, classification, and question answering.
- Create and tune RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector stores, chunking, and metadata filters.
- Implement agent workflows with tools, function calls, fallbacks, and human review points.
- Develop REST APIs connecting models to business systems and databases.
- Apply structured-output rules and safety controls against invalid responses and prompt injection.
- Support testing, prompt evaluation, UAT fixes, deployments, and incident analysis.
- Reduce model latency, token consumption, caching overhead, and API costs.

- 3 to 5 years of software engineering experience, including practical AI project work.
- Hands-on Generative AI and agentic-architecture experience.
- Production experience designing and deploying RAG pipelines.
- Strong Python and REST API development skills.
- Knowledge of embeddings, vector indexing, and SQL databases.
- Availability for assigned shifts from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
- Familiarity with enterprise engineering standards, containers, and Git workflows.
