About the role
This is a senior software engineering role for someone building Python and GenAI solutions in Hyderabad for Wells Fargo. You'll lead technical initiatives, develop and support production systems, and help resolve complex engineering and operational issues in a regulated banking environment.
What you’ll do
- Lead moderately complex engineering initiatives and technical deliverables.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software.
- Evaluate technical problems and recommend solutions.
- Guide less experienced engineers and act as an escalation point.
- Work with peers, managers, and business partners to resolve delivery challenges.
- Support requirements analysis, database optimization, debugging, and governance activities.

- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent training and education.
- Strong Python and PySpark development experience.
- Practical understanding of AI and generative AI.
- Experience with APIs, API gateways, and microservices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps tools, data modeling, data quality, and data governance.
- Strong Linux, shell scripting, scheduling, testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Banking or financial services experience and familiarity with Agile delivery.
- Clear communication and the ability to work with distributed teams.
