About the role
Cyberhaven is hiring a senior or staff software engineer to build scalable backend systems for its data security platform, with roles based in Bangalore or remotely for EU-based talent. You will architect and maintain a system processing billions of events in real-time to protect enterprise data.
What you’ll do
- Design, extend, and optimize a large-scale, fault-tolerant system handling large graph datasets at enterprise scale
- Architect and implement security products to protect customer data
- Solve scaling problems requiring thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Build on a microservices stack using Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker, and Etcd
- Write secure-by-design software that withstands real-world attacks while processing untrusted data
What they’re looking for
- Strong track record building backends actively used at scale
- Significant contributions to backend architecture design and extension
- Experience developing large applications in Go
- Experience with databases at very large scale and knowledge of GCP services
- Experience profiling and optimizing distributed code with large databases and streaming platforms
- Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Availability to communicate regularly with distributed teams in Europe and the US
