What you’ll do
- Lead moderately complex initiatives within the technology domain
- Design, code, test, debug, and document upgrades and deployments
- Review technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs
- Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
- Diagnose performance, memory, and partitioning inefficiencies across compute engines
- Design and implement modern data platforms using open-table formats such as Iceberg
- Perform peer code reviews and contribute to engineering standards

- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, Iceberg, and Hive
- Experience with a major cloud platform such as Azure or GCP
- Strong SQL development and tuning skills
- Experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio, Informatica, or DataStage
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Autosys or Airflow
Nice to have
- Experience with Dremio or similar virtualization/federation tools
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Teradata
- Hands-on experience with GenAI, agentic AI, and LLM adoption
- Experience building RAG architectures, vector stores, and embedding pipelines
- Familiarity with data governance and security frameworks
