About the role

What you’ll do
- Own development and production pipelines for internal and customer-facing products.
- Build web applications and internal AI, machine-learning, and processing pipelines.
- Maintain reliability and performance for deep-learning and geoprocessing services.
- Translate product requirements into technical designs and scalable code.
- Design high-level and low-level architectures for new initiatives.
- Set up monitoring and logging for deployed systems.
- Profile and improve existing software.
- Guide junior engineers through reviews and development practices.
What they’re looking for
- Have three or more years of engineering experience.
- Build backend systems with Django and Python.
- Understand software architecture, distributed systems, and system design.
- Work with data-processing pipelines and web services.
- Use cloud, container, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging technologies.
- Collaborate on technical solutions for internal data-processing workflows.
Nice to have
- Have experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Know AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Have worked with Kubernetes, Jenkins, deep learning, geoprocessing, PostGIS, GIS, or geodatabases.
- Bring startup experience.
