About the role
This is an onsite Research Engineer II role in Bengaluru for an AI engineer working on computer vision, deep learning, NLP and multimodal systems. You will help turn blueprints, scanned PDFs and SVG drawings into useful data for construction estimating and takeoff products. The work spans research, experimentation, model optimization and production deployment.
What you’ll do
- Develop computer-vision and deep-learning systems for construction documents.
- Extract information from blueprints, scanned PDFs and SVG files.
- Help build multimodal systems combining visual and language capabilities.
- Move AI solutions from prototypes into production.
- Apply experiment tracking, validation, reproducibility and data-centric development practices.
- Work with engineering, research and product teams to turn ideas into usable applications.
- Write production-ready Python using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Hugging Face.
- Assess new computer-vision and machine-learning research for practical use.

- Experience with machine learning, deep learning and computer vision.
- Knowledge of image processing, visual document understanding, NLP, LLMs and generative AI.
- Python development experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV or Hugging Face.
- Understanding of representation learning, unsupervised learning and feature extraction.
- Ability to work with model optimization methods such as quantization, pruning and knowledge distillation.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms and ML deployment.
- Interest in document intelligence, PDF processing and SVG graphics.
