About the role
Ontario Health is hiring a senior data science developer on contract to build data pipelines and analytics products supporting its Provincial Data Set (PDS) 2.0 and mental health and addictions clinical reporting. The role suits a data engineer or analyst with health-sector and public-sector experience who works in SQL, Python, Azure and Power BI, on a hybrid basis in Toronto. It's a fixed-term contract running through the end of March 2027, filled through staffing vendor AMANST.
What you’ll do
- Analyze requirements, design and code reports.
- Develop scripts using health system and administrative databases, including linking datasets and building analytic cohorts.
- Design, create and maintain cloud-based data analytics models and visualizations.
- Liaise with project members to implement products and resolve operational problems.
- Support clinical partners in effective use of cloud-based data and analytics products.
- Analyze complex technical issues and recommend solutions.
- Develop technical scripts aligned with Mental Health & Addictions clinical priorities.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics products for PDS 2.0 and MHA reporting.

- Experience working in product-team delivery environments.
