About the role
This is a senior analytics engineering role at Aleph, fully remote within the US, Canada or Latin America, building data transformations for an AI-native FP&A platform. It suits an experienced analytics engineer who owns transformation pipelines end to end and can coach others on data quality practices. You'll design data integrity tests, refactor models, and partner with Customer Success to meet reporting needs.
What you’ll do
- Own how client-facing data transformations are built as integrations and customers grow
- Determine where AI can accelerate and document transformation work
- Design and evolve data integrity tests with Engineering and Customer Success
- Troubleshoot data issues and build transformations across many sources
- Refactor and optimize critical models and pipelines
- Define patterns and conventions for other team members
- Coach others and contribute to hiring and onboarding
What they’re looking for
- A track record owning transformation pipelines over financial or operational data end to end
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with dbt or similar tools
- Comfort with version control, testing and deployment
- Ability to reason about data from source to consumption
- Must be located in North or South America
Nice to have
- Experience working with financial data
- Familiarity with Python, BigQuery, Airbyte, Fivetran, Merge, Datadog, Git or CI/CD for dbt
