What you’ll do
- Lead complex, cross-functional database engineering initiatives involving architecture and integration
- Design, implement and troubleshoot Oracle Goldengate configurations for high availability and replication
- Collaborate with application teams to optimize SQL queries and performance
- Drive root cause analysis for high-severity production issues
- Develop automation scripts using Shell scripting for database operations
- Monitor database health and ensure compliance with SLAs
- Serve as primary DBA and single point of contact for the line of business
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams

- 5+ years of database engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases
- Expertise in Oracle Goldengate setup, configuration and troubleshooting
- Deep experience in Oracle performance tuning, including AWR/ASH analysis and SQL tuning
- Strong Shell scripting skills for automation
- Experience managing high-availability, large-scale database environments
- Flexibility with timings and weekend support
Nice to have
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in database environments
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions and hybrid architectures
- Hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL and YugabyteDB
