About the role
Toptal is placing a Power Platform Solutions Architect to assess and modernize an existing Microsoft Power Platform solution and define its target architecture. This full-time role is open to candidates in the USA or Canada and requires approximately thirty hours per week during Phase 1 with a sixty-hour weekly overlap to the East Coast time zone.
What you’ll do
- Lead the technical assessment of existing Power Apps applications, Power Automate flows, data layer, and Power BI reporting
- Support Regulatory data-profiling spikes and incorporate findings into the target solution architecture
- Define and evaluate costed patch and rebuild options to support final technical recommendations
- Produce a detailed staffed Phase 2 implementation plan
- Design the consolidated Dataverse entity model and define workflow and business-logic architecture
- Configure the Entra ID access model for licensed and unlicensed user audiences
- Set up shared Azure API Management, Key Vault, and monitoring architecture for integrations
- Produce technical handover documentation for the implemented solution
What they’re looking for
- Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, and Power BI
- Strong experience designing Dataverse schemas and security roles
- Azure architecture experience with API Management, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Entra ID SSO, and Application Insights
- Experience designing enterprise integration architectures where counterpart APIs are uncertain or changing
- Experience integrating enterprise applications with ERP systems
- Experience designing identity and access models for licensed and unlicensed audiences
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform licensing models including per-user Dataverse and capacity-based Power Pages licensing
- Ability to evaluate existing solutions and define modernization, remediation, or rebuild strategies
