About the role
The Athletic Clubs is hiring an onsite Club Manager and Coach for its Old Town studio in Chicago. This full-time leadership role suits an experienced fitness coach who can run daily studio operations while strengthening member retention and community. The manager reports to the Dual General Manager and combines class coaching, team support, operational oversight, and member engagement.
What you’ll do
- Coach roughly eight to ten group classes each week.
- Oversee schedules, studio readiness, inventory, opening and closing tasks, and member systems.
- Maintain coaching quality by observing sessions and giving coaches timely feedback.
- Build retention through member goal calls, re-engagement efforts, recognition, and community events.
- Manage squad communications and represent the studio at local activities.
What they’re looking for
- Hold NASM-CPT certification or an equivalent credential.
- Have CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Bring at least two years of coaching or customer-facing experience in fitness, hospitality, or a related field.
- Be available full time, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Be able to perform active studio work and lift at least 30 pounds.
