About the role
This is a lead automotive R&D engineering role in Chennai for a professional with 16 to 18 years of mechanisms experience. You'll take cab, body and product systems from concept through validation and engineering release while coordinating design, analysis, testing, manufacturing and suppliers.
What you’ll do
- Create concepts, layouts, 3D models, drawings and design releases.
- Complete DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance and packaging reviews.
- Coordinate CAE, testing, manufacturing and supplier inputs.
- Resolve validation, quality and field issues through structured engineering.
- Support cab and vehicle integration across the product lifecycle.
What they’re looking for
- Sixteen to eighteen years of relevant mechanisms experience.
- Strong experience with PLM, mechanisms, GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R and design release.
- Experience with BIW, cab integration, NVH, crash analysis and durability.
- Automotive, commercial-vehicle, mobility or adjacent product-engineering experience.
- A bachelor's engineering degree is listed in the candidate profile.
