About the role
This is an automotive design engineering role for someone with 7–9 years of exterior-trims experience, based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. You'll take cab, body and product systems from early concepts through validation and engineering release while working with cross-functional vehicle-development teams. What you’ll do
- Create concepts, layouts, 3D models, drawings and design releases.
- Complete DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance and packaging reviews.
- Coordinate inputs from CAE, testing, manufacturing and suppliers.
- Investigate validation, quality and field problems and drive structured resolutions.
What they’re looking for
- 7–9 years of relevant exterior-trims engineering experience.
- Practical experience with PLM, DFMEA, exterior trims, vehicle integration, frame and root-cause analysis.
- An engineering background suitable for automotive research and development.
- Ability to work on full-time permanent product-development assignments.
Nice to have
- Commercial-vehicle product-development experience.
- Experience with cross-functional validation, design release and technical documentation.
- Experience in automotive, mobility or a related product-engineering environment.
