About the role
This is an onsite engine-reliability engineering role in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, supporting confidential automotive and mobility product development. You'll develop, calibrate, test, and validate powertrain systems against performance, emissions, fuel-efficiency, drivability, durability, and release requirements.
What you’ll do
- Translate vehicle targets into powertrain requirements.
- Develop or calibrate engine and powertrain subsystems.
- Analyze test, field, and diagnostic data.
- Deliver emission, performance, reliability, and release targets.
- Support cross-functional validation and technical documentation.
What they’re looking for
- Two to nine years of relevant reliability experience.
- Engineering experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, mobility, or a related product-development environment.
- Practical experience with reliability, Creo, GD&T, DFMEA, FMEA, design release, CAN, engine testing, combustion, vehicle integration, and homologation.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- A B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
Nice to have
- Commercial-vehicle product-development experience.
- Cross-functional validation experience.
