About the role
This is an onsite Engine Controls Engineer role in Chennai for an engineering professional with 2 to 9 years of controls experience. You will develop, calibrate, and validate powertrain systems against performance, emissions, fuel-efficiency, drivability, and durability targets. What you’ll do
- Translate vehicle objectives into powertrain requirements.
- Develop and calibrate engine and powertrain subsystems.
- Analyse test, field, and diagnostic information.
- Deliver emissions, performance, reliability, and release targets.
- Support validation across controls, testbed, HIL, SIL, and MIL environments.
- Prepare technical documentation and design-release materials.

- Two to nine years of relevant controls experience.
- Practical experience with Controls, Simulink, testbeds, combustion, emissions, OBD, EATS, diagnostics, HIL, SIL, MIL, and instrumentation.
- An engineering background relevant to automotive or product development.

- Cross-functional validation experience.
- Technical documentation and design-release experience.
- Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, mobility, or a related product-engineering setting.
